Seems everyone knew, yet nothing was done. Why the hell is he still getting paid with my tax dollars??? Where is Sharpton??? Where is Jackson??? If Big O had a son, would he look like Ayo???

I'd be interested to hear the specific grounds for putting him on paid leave (suggests that DHS is performing an investigation). Worth noting that the Federal government can not terminate a civilian employee for espousing racist rants off the job. First Amendment. I could post a nasty, racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc rant on here and they couldn't fire me for it. While a private employer can fire you because they didn't like how you combed your hair, the Federal government is bound to the Constitution (of course this all changes when you're on the clock acting as a Federal representative).

Why would you suggest that Obama would want to protect him? Who do you think Kimathi was calling Uncle Tom?

1) Calling for race war and inciting violence is not protected speech(much the same with the whole anti-gay thing that priest was doing that had you up in arms....both are exactly the same.....both called for killing on a mass scale).

2) Private employer cannot fire one for "combing hair wrong" or for things done off the job unless those things are illegal(it is actually very hard to terminate someone unless that individual violates contractual agreements....dress code is a contractual agreement).

3) Just pointing out how race baiters, and our current admin, have a double standard when it comes to racism and are only quick to publicly denounce it when one race is the perceived perpetrator(I hope I don't have to give the well documented examples).

4) What is there to investigate. It has been investigated already. The site and vids are there for all to see. NY Times did a short piece on him back in 2010. The SPLC finally got on board(took long enough) and has lots of dirt.

We are not talking innocent until proven guilty here. That is for criminal charges, if they are filed. This is concrete and known. I know you do not want a man like this on government payrolls......do you???

Is an employee at the Homeland Security Department also a racist preparing blacks for a campaign of violence against whites?

Ayo Kimathi, a small business specialist at the agency, is also a “gay-bashing, revenge-seeking black nationalist,” according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a nonprofit group that tracks groups and individuals it says are bigoted and hateful.

Mr. Kimathi in his private time runs the website “War on the Horizon” under the user name “Irritated Genie,” SPLC said. The site advocates “properly educating Black people to prepare for Racial Warfare.”

SPLC said they spoke with Mr. Kimathi’s former supervisor at DHS, who said that other employees were scared of his behavior.

“This guy is filled with hate,” the supervisor said. “People are afraid he will come in with a gun someday and go postal. I am astounded, he’s employed by the federal government, let alone Homeland Security.”

Race-relations is (IMO) worse now that in the past 35 years or so.  Wonder why?

Im mot old enough to remember the 60s. Aside from the black panthers and malcolm x, all that is generally described of the era is te ciil rights movement, so i have no idea about race relations back then, at least on the black side

Yeah, I was just a kid in the 60s.  I can remember a little bit about the marches, MLK, etc.  the 70s were only a tiny bit better, but black Panthers and the KKK were active then. We used to get into scuffles on the school grounds.  My pov was a bit different back then.  Like most people in the South, I've said the N-word in anger.

I don't know that he'll manage to start a campaign of violence against whites, but if his boss thinks he's filled with hate and he has people at his workplace in fear...he oughta be fired....and watched.  Maybe the guy needs a psychologist?
