Beat the recycling truck every trash day and collect 15-20 lbs of cans and then get paid for recycling them? Or just resourceful? I mean it is public prop once it hits the roadside, and they are still being used for their intended purpose, and i am burning gas to get them and to go to recycling plant every few weeks

Is this a city truck funded by taxpayers? Seems to me that removing trash and rubbish is a benefit to the city. Most people probably wont care who takes their trash and would probably love to donate it to you personally.

Think its a contracted company that does the recycling. Why shouldnt i get a $.50 per lb cut? Lol

No, trash put to the curb is public property. If the original consumer wanted tye money for those cans, the original consumer shoulda saved them.
