Ricin-laced letter mailed to senator
An envelope containing ricin was sent to the Capitol Hill office of Sen. Roger Wicker, on Tuesday.
The letter to the Mississippi Republican was intercepted at an off-site mail screening facility and never reached the Hill.
As of Tuesday night, mail delivery had only been stopped to the Senate, not the House.
"It is of concern," Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, said after learning about the incident in a briefing with other senators late Tuesday.
The envelope had a Tennessee postmark and no return address.
The letter inside included an implied threat to the effect of: "You haven’t listened to me before. Now you will, even if people have to die," Politico also reported.
Sources say officials are familiar with the person believed to have sent the letter as the person has sent other letters before.
It's unclear whether the letter had any connection to the Boston attack.

According to the New York Times a similar letter was sent to Obama. It was also stated that a stolen moving truck (similar to that used by McVeigh) was abandoned outside of a government building in Oklahoma City, fortunately no explosives were found.

They caught that guy yesterday afternoon. He's said to be the sort who has written the prez many times, so he's obviously obsessed with sending him letters. Funny that he targets a Liberal Dem Prez and a GOP Republican. Makes me think he's mad about the govt in general. Probably the type of guy that hates the govt, complains about them infringing on his rights and doesnt mind trying to harm people to get his point across. An anarchist, fits the bill quite nicely.
Clearly he's unhinged.
