Constitution

So i keep hearing a lot of guff about the constitution being irrelevant and needing to be replaced. My question is, how can an amendable, changeable document ever be irrelevant? Guess what, after the civil war And slaves were freed, we didnt need a new document, we simply amended the one we have. So what exactly is outdated in the const?

The problem stems from when a document is written at a higher education level than today's average citizen. I mean we see people confused over the placement of a friggin comma.
