Obama: Sexual Assault Threatens National Security

Obama called the meeting with Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey, the service secretaries, the service branch chiefs and their enlisted advisers against a backdrop of a rising rate of sexual assaults and two high-profile cases in which the suspects were sexual assault prevention officials.

I knew this was gonna happen. mixing make and female military personnel just does not work. We didn't have females on our ship when I was in the Navy, but they do now. There are too many out-of-the-way hiding places on an aircraft carrier where men and women could mix if they wanted to. And the stress of working on a ship is so great anyway without people getting combative or possessive over a female co-worker. And to be honest, a lot of men just don't want to take orders from women and (some) just might retaliate.

Forcing changes on the American military has always been a terrible idea.
