More progressive lunacy

Seems that 13 and 14 year old girls were told they must ask for a lesbian kiss from classmates. That is absurd. I still do not understand how Miles and Bryant can support these loons. I still do not see how one would have the nerve to say that stupidity is only on one side of the spectrum.

While I think that the spectrum is quite skewed in one direction, I don't for a second pretend that there aren't countless idiots on the left. That said, I think they did a reasonable job justifying their objective (although I would be skeptical of how this would help teach a student to say no when there is real social pressure). I don't think its fair to characterize their effort as 'lesbian kiss,' they weren't trying to encourage or discourage lesbianism.

I never said I supported "these loons", what I have said in the past is that I'm anti-stupid, but that most of the whacko stuff I've seen in the last while seems to come from a party that is associated with a particular type of hot beverage. If I see some ass-hattery coming from the left, I'll say that it's stupid as well, or I'll at least not try to defend it. I'll also generally try to take each case of stupidity on its own merits, rather than claiming it's part of some giant conspiracy.

And before anyone starts jumping down my throat, I'm not accusing anyone here of doing that, but if I look up that story on google, chances are I'm not going to have to look at too many articles or comments before I see the word "socailism" (or some variant thereof) in there, or "fascism" (because socialism and fascism are the same thing really, on the internet at least), or "liberal/homosexual indoctrination", or generalizing it so much that it's Obama's fault....

(generally I don't call out much of the stupidity on the left here tho call it 'cos where's the fun if I post stuff that y'all agree with me the whole time on? :-P)

Look Bryant, this was a clear violation of these children's rights. It is their right not to be forced into doing something they are uncomfortable with. It is technically sexual battery.

Nobody said anything about any type of indoctrination.

Only one of us is what we now mistakenly call "right wing". I don't believe any of us are members of the GOP.

They were NOT instructed to kiss anyone. Had they done so they probably would have been subject to disciplinary action by the school. They were instructed to ask their peer for a kiss, to which the peer was instructed to say 'no!' If anything, and this is a stretch, this was teaching them to avoid what you're accusing them of. According to that article, absolutely nothing occurred that could be called sexual battery. All they were trying to do was teach the girls to say 'no' to unwanted advances.

That said, as Miles pointed out, what are pansexual and genderqueer? Why do these kids need to know these words? There might be a nugget of stupid here, but I don't think it resides where you're placing it.
