Just thought id share...

A colossal waste of $ i received in the mail from the usps itself, which im sure is likely going out nationwide. Said if you get a call saying you won a foreign lottery and they want $ to collect ur winnings, then its "probably" a scam. Seriously? How much did that cost to print and distribute? Maybe thats part of the reason theyre goig under.

A LOT of old people fall for those scams. I saw the mailing. I think its very much within the pubic good.

Anyway, I don't think the money for the mailing came from the USPS coffer.

My grandmother was telling me about a person she knew who fell for a similar scam. She (my grandmother's friend) received a phone call from her 'grandson' telling her that he was in trouble and needed her to send him money. It wasn't her grandson (you think she'd have been able to tell by the voice, but you know how old people can be), it was a scamer. She sent the ass a few grand. Many scammers prey on old people.

Everyone has to learn one way or another to be skeptical in todays world to survive. Unfortunately many of todays older people are from a more trusting generation. My grandpa (RIP^^) gave away his information to the wrong person over the phone one time and was got for a few hundred bucks, buck eventually got it back from the bank. but yeah im sure this is the brIn child of some politician perhaps with the beast of intentions, when printing and the sheer hauling of freight of the thousands of tons of these things all around the country, even if on a limited scale, far exceeds that of other no -material methods of education
