....and if we remember our old high school physics classes, we remember that every action has and equal and opposite reaction. For this topic that translates as such:

Power of weapon is equal to recoil of weapon. Of course for full disclosure I must say that a fraction of the recoil from the AR is bled of to cycle the bolt, but since the shotgun is heavier, it soaks up more energy therefore making this pretty fair.

Notice shotgun has way more recoil than the AR. That kinda blows that whole "the 5.56 is too powerful for civilians" outta the water(just in case my energy charts didn't do that already).

Yeah you have to be ready to fire a 12 guage. Theres a reason the military doesnt issue shotguns to female troops. They get the same rifle as the guys do. And the low recoil of the 5.56 is another reason it was chosen. Easy to keep on target and keep firing. I mean a 12 guage is basically firing as much lead as 3-4 5.56/.223. Essentially, if you can shoot a .22 then you can shoot an AR.

Not to mention the illegally of uncle joes advice. One guy followed it and got arrested. Thought he saw two people in masks in his yard and fired a shotgun through the door, and was subsequently arrested for the unlawful discharge of a weapon. Think the veep will defend him in court?
