Anyone else been watching this, about ragnar whats his face? Really well put together and i believe filmed in our boy miles' own backyard.

Excellent so far! Very good miniseries! Smile

Interesting however that of the main cast, only Floki, the boat builder, is of nordic descent. The rest are irish, english, Canadian, etc.

I didnt know this until just now, but this miniseries is based on the Norse legend of Ragnar Lodbrook; a very famous tale.

Also Ragnar was said to be the father of Ivar the boneless, a terrifying Viking king who was the scourge of England, and who met a very graphic and grisly demise.

Theres a lot of question as to why ivor was called the boneless. Theories cover everything from impotency to some type of bone condition.

Right. Its kinda weird that the Vikings would revere someone with a disability. I hear they carried him around on his shield though. Maybe its was a hereditary title?
