Ancient fiction
So one problem i have with literalists - ancient astronaut theorists, theologists, those searching for atlantis or noahs arc, and the like - is that they often take something as gospel truth simply because it is old, totally lacks to take into account that the ancients were just as imaginative as we are. I mean if we can project hundreds or even thousands of years in the future, and imagine technologies that are far beyond our own, then why couldnt ancient man do the same?

The same can be said for those who mistakenly believe the 2ndA is all about flintlock muskets.
Many of our founding fathers were inventors for fricks sake. Yeah, like they thought only of muzzle loaders.
