GOP Asks For Pearl Harbor Investigation Because “We Still Don’t Have All the Answers”

GOP House of Representatives leaders convened yesterday to call for an investigation into the Pearl Harbor attack because “we still don’t have all the answers”.

Representative Darrell Issa, (R-California), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee:

“We might be seeing a dangerous trend here. Whenever we have a Democratic President, we have these terrible attacks like Pearl Harbor and Benghazi. Nothing like this has ever occurred during a Republican administration, and we want to find out why a Democratic Presidency seems to ensure that our enemies attack us. I think they sense weakness when a Democrat is President and doesn’t receive reports specifying that groups are determined to attack the United States. Even President George W. Bush, by all accounts a complete buffoon, kept us safe from enemy attacks 99.9% of the time. That’s pretty much always.

But I don’t think we can accept this explanation from the FDR administration that these so-called “Japanese” were behind the Pearl Harbor attacks. We need to know more. What did Roosevelt know and when did he know it? And more specifically, what did Hillary Clinton know and when did she know it? We’re not going to get to the bottom of this until we have at least 3 or more additional investigations into this matter.”

And FDR kept us safe except for the one instance of Pearl Harbor.  Then both Presidents sent us to war.
