While we're on the topic, how do you guys pronounce 'creek?'
In California most say it cr-ee-k with a hard e. Up in this part of Oregon the norm seems to be cr-i-k, with i as in 'it.'

We say Creek.

We say River too, but a river and a creek are two different things.
