On a more serious note, that bang was big enough to register on some USGS seismometers.

The first seismometer is located near Kurchatov, Kazakhstan; the second in Borovoye, Kazakhstan; and the third is part of the ZAA0 array (Zalesovo), located in the Altayskiy Kray region of Russia.

I still do not understand why we cut funding to our space program. I do not see anything, we are spending money on today, as being that important. I would even go so far as to say the space program is more important than that large, overgrown military we have.
