I left that video thinking about how much I hate Monsanto.
I also love how people think "those poor farmers". I know a bunch of farmers. Everything from rice to yams to crawfish to sugarcane to soybean to cotton. Ain't none of them poor.
Farming, as it is done today, is not sustainable. In the past 25 years we have lost 2/3 of our top soil and have seen non-arable land grow by 11%. All attributed to large scale factory farming(source: my dad retired as the head of the Louisiana Dept of Soil Conservation.....they do studies). Second cause of lost land is the changing of watershed(the way water naturally drains from land) due to housing development.
