Economic Recovery?
How are things looking where you guys live?
Out here in the Fresno metropolitan area (ie Fresno and Clovis) things seem to be really starting to pick up. Some of the large housing developers have resumed work on building large housing developments, a new shopping center is being constructed (including a Dicks Sporting Goods and a Walmart) in Clovis, and most of the steel fabrication shops claim to be working at capacity. I've also gleaned from some friends that work in the management end of construction companies that they're staying busy, although the profit margin isn't what it used to be.

Re: Economic Recovery?
My area slowed down a bit in '08-'10, but started picking back up in '10. Of course the majority of the people, who work, are in the oil field. We already had some of the highest government subsistence rates prior to the "crash" and those levels really didn't go down or up.
