Was does law enforcement have fully automatic weapons in the USA yet the public is disallowed???

Well, it goes like this:

LEO's want them because they say they need them.
Why do they need them?
Is it for protection against the criminal element?
Those weapons are hard for a civi to come across and are very expensive.
We can use the whole tactical advantage thing, but that same argument is disallowed for civis to use. The word paranoia comes up every single time, so the same can be said about LEO's......they are just paranoid.
Since the only recorded crime where a LEGALLY aquired automatic weapon involved a cop, it would seem that they are less trustworthy than the average law abiding citizen.

So why again, does our LEO's need automatic weapons to keep the streets of tUSA safe???

Because they cant shoot strait and need the scatter of a full automatic to hit their target? Thats the Fresno PD rational, anyways.
