Re: Snake!
Fuck that shit! Hell no. I hate rattlesnakes. They occasionally find ones that size in California.
Where I live now only has rattlesnakes in the lower elevations (most of the mountains above town are too cold for rattlesnakes), but the ones we do have are mean. I had one try to strike my Jeep the other month.

Yep thats a big one. Seen one rattlesnake when i was a kid that was hanging over the hood of a 4x4 and touching the ground on both ends. The rangers at eglin afb didnt believe us when we told em we found it on the reservation

Re: Snake!
We got em all over on my farm. I carry a shotgun everytime I go fishing. But thankfully I've never seen one that big.
Once, I ran over one in the road leading to my house. I knew I'd hurt it but didn't kill it. I got out of the truck, grabbed a two-by-four from the back and took one step toward the snake. It was about 5 ft long and had a head maybe 2 or 3 inches wide with a velvety surface. It rattled its tail one time and I just got back in my truck and drove home. Scared me.
